Jason grew up in Havre, MT and attended undergrad at Montana Tech, MSU Northern where he played basketball and received his master’s degree from the University of Montana and MSU. He has been in education for 22 years; 10 years as a teacher and 12 years as an Assistant Principal/Principal. He has taught in Ronan, Havre, and Corvallis. Jason has been married for 24 years to his wife Heather. He has two children; a 19 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. During the winter months, you will find Jason and his kids every Sunday up at Lost Trail skiing.

Jason values every day he gets to be on the water, whether it is for fun or for work. If you've ever gone out on the water with Jason, you can feel his passion for the outdoors, for the work he does, and for educating others.

“Sharing this experience with others is so gratifying and I look forward to each and every day in the outdoors. I chose to start guiding because I wanted to be out on the water everyday and guiding was a way to accomplish this. I get as much joy watching others catch fish as I do when I catch them.”
